Privacy Policy

We collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains exactly what is processed when you visit, and why.

Who we are

This privacy policy covers byothermeans.co.uk, an independent information site about non UK online casinos. For any privacy question, contact [email protected] .

What we don’t do

  • We don’t offer user accounts, comments or newsletters.
  • We don’t run analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
  • We don’t sell or share personal data for marketing.
  • Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page doesn’t send your data to a font provider.

What is processed when you visit

Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. This is necessary to run the website (legitimate interest under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare’s own privacy policy explains its retention periods.

Email. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete correspondence when it’s no longer needed.

When you click a casino link (any link beginning /play), you’re sent through an affiliate tracking service to the casino’s website. The tracking service records that a click came from this site so the casino can attribute a commission to us; it may set its own cookies or use similar technology on its domain. The casino you arrive at will process your data under its own privacy policy. We don’t receive your name, contact details or payment information from casinos.

International transfers

Our hosting provider may process data outside the UK. Where it does, it relies on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to processing and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests will concern emails you’ve sent us.

Children

The site is for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly process data about children.

Changes

We’ll update this page if our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
